The Halloween thing made me sad. Yes, House had intentions of disrupting her party, but Cuddy didn't know that (although she might have suspected) and what she did went too far, what's wrong with just saying no, you can't come and turfing him out if he does show up? One thing I was glad of was that the show did indicate she was sorry for what she had done.
