damigella_314 "would you go around and bash things in if House told you to go ahead and do it?" in this post.
Morning has broken like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird
Adams swung the bat in slow motion at the portable x-ray machine. The bat crunched nicely into the machine, sending bits of plastic and glass spraying into the air to join the thousands of shards nicely littering the room.
Yes! This was so much fun, letting her anger out at her lying cheating ex-husband. Maybe she'd get in her car next, find out where he was living now and drive straight into the bastard's bedroom. She was angry and he deserved it after all.
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for them springing fresh from the world
This music was a bit dorky though, she'd prefer something a lot more rage-y herself, but you have to work with what you've been given.
She grinned and looked around at the destruction, she was doing so well, all the expensive medical equipment was in pieces, it could never be used again. She felt a twinge of guilt when she thought of all those clinics trying to help the poor with virtually nothing, but put the thought aside, she deserved a cathartic experience after her trauma. She looked around for something else to bash, twirling the baseball bat around eagerly.
Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden....
The music cut abruptly and she heard Foreman's angry voice behind her.
"Doctor Adams, what the hell do you think you're doing?"
She stopped mid-swing at a row of glass cabinets and looked up to see Foreman and two security officers standing in the doorway. Foreman looked very, very angry. Oh, shit. Had someone heard all the noise and thought it was odd?
"What the..." Foreman trailed off, coming into the room and staring around.
"House said I could, he said it was all bought and paid for," she whined, and looked over at House for backup, he would save her, it was his idea after all. There was no-one there. "He was here....he said..."
Foreman sighed. "House said it was okay for you to destroy the orthopedics procedure room and thousands of dollars worth of medical equipment. Do you have that in writing? Did he say you should smash this all up?"
"No, but he gave me the bat and he said it was paid for and then he looked at me and..." she felt like bursting into tears, this wasn't so cathartic after all.
"The same House that you met in jail, where he was doing time for wanton destruction of property . That House?"
"But why would he lie?"
"To screw with you? Because he can? To get ortho out of here?" Foreman shook his head, looking around at the mess, "sorry Doctor Adams, this is on you. I can't let this go, unless of course you want to pay for it...."
Defeated, she nodded her head. What was another few thousand out of her trust fund after all?
"Okay, get the check to me in the morning, oh...and get this place cleaned up. And stop believing a word House says."
When the men were gone Adams twirled the bat again. Time to pay House a visit. She heard the music start again and smiled, this would be good.

Oh, and of course I can see the beautiful face of Adams wrinkled in perplexity as she asks "Why would he lie?" LMAO, I am so evil.
Wondering whether House has managed to protect himself enough and hide his own valuables. Hell hath no fury like a tall angry woman with a baseball bat.
OT what a fitting icon, did you make it yourself? It's so hard to get any with House smiling.

Well, they're not inane, but please do! I finally got that other lovely idea you sent me out of my system :)

Well, i can't claim any artistic credit because all I did was crop it from a screencap but yes :) It is probably just me projecting because I was so uneasy about the whole baseball bat thing but I thought that was particularly creepy smile on House's face while he was watching Adams.
Thanks for the idea and thanks for reading!
