This was an unusual combination for me. The prison setting is so vivid, as always, and the way you trace House's thought processes is dead-on. It's like watching his mind circling in on itself because he has nothing to focus on (or when he does, he can't).
But the Blythe section didn't ring true to me at all. I remember how shocked I was on the show when she said she saw the police blotter. What kind of mother is that? Where is the maternal instinct? So you remember when she visited with John, she told House he was perfect the way he was? I know you're trying to fill in the blanks, but for me this isn't a blank that can be filled. It was too OOC.
