I wished this was the way it had gone, but then I wish a lot of things from season 6 on that didn't come to be. But I do believe that their friendship was a three way kind of thing in canon, even if we didn't get to see much of it on screen. And this piece seems very plausible as an alternate path while keeping them all in character. Thanks for writing this. :)
