Four ficlets written for the Easter Basket Fiction Exchange.  Headings and summaries behind the cut.

Title: Fever
Words: 167
Rating : G
Spoilers : None
Pairing : House/Wilson

Summary : Wilson has a fever, who cares for him during the night?

Written for  barefootpuddles for the Easter Basket fiction exchange

Wilson thinks he must have been delirious with the fever. It couldn't have been House wiping him down with a cool cloth. House would never have made him soup and held him up while he drank it. House would never strip him of his sweat soaked clothes, pour him a bath and help him into it. House wouldn't make his bed up with clean fresh sheets, and make sure everything he needed was just where it should be. It couldn't have been House. The person he'd clung to all night in the bed, shivering and shaking couldn't have been House.

Except, when he turns his head on the pillow there he is, lying on his side of the bed, mouth open, snoring softly. There's a soup bowl by his side, a cloth sitting on the bedside table, Wilson's sleep pants on the floor. There is no-one else here, in their home.

It couldn't have been House, but it was.

Title: Wilson and the Easter Bunny
Words: 540
Rating : PG 13
Spoilers : Vague allusions to the seventh season
Pairing : House/Wilson

Summary : Crack Fic - Wilson discovers he really likes the Easter Bunny

Written for cuddyclothes for the Easter Basket fiction exchange

Wilson opened the door and came into House's office without looking up from the paperwork he was scribbling away on.

"House, we need to pick up..." he stopped dead as he looked up and saw a large pink bunny rabbit in front of him. It was well over six feet tall, had floppy ears, floppy feet and a pouch (which was strange because it was a rabbit not a kangaroo). Wilson even thought it had...he went closer to check, yes, it did have a tail.

"House," he said to the rabbit, "what are you..."

"I'm the freaking Easter Bunny you moron. What, did you think some strange woman in the clinic cast a spell on me and changed me into a rabbit? And I have to learn how to be nice to patients before I get changed back?"

"No..." Wilson thought that was just as well, otherwise House would be sporting a pair of fluffy ears and a tail until the end of time. "But why are you dressed as the Easter Bunny?" Wilson couldn't have been more surprised if House had come down the chimney as Santa Claus on Christmas Eve, or, even more unlikely, had offered to pay for his own lunch.

"Harrison kid. Cuddy won't let me near him, nursing staff all have orders to call the cops if I even try and get in his room. I just need a little blood sample, but the parents would rather let the kid die than lose a drop of his blood, mind you, he's a pretty ugly kid, can't say I blame them..."

"So...you're just going to limp on in there, pretend you're the Easter Bunny, give out an easter egg and take the kid's blood?"

"Yep." House took up his cane and Wilson spotted the obvious flaw in the plan.

"They're going to know who you are as soon as they see the cane."

House picked up the cane, twirled it around and threw it away. "Nah, I'll just go without it, this is the seventh season, I can do that now. There is no pain."

"No, wait!" Wilson called out as House made for the door again.

House turned around and stared at him. More specifically he stared at Wilson's groin.

"Wilson, you perv! You have a thing for bunny rabbits? I thought you had a thing for ducks? At least that's what you told me when you made me wear that beak. and fuck you up the..."

Wilson stammered and blushed and then put his hands up as if directing traffic.

"Ducks and um...bunny rabbits apparently." He looked at House,  thinking about it, he hadn't realised that he would be turned on by a man in a pink bunny rabbit suit until just now. "I think it's the ears, they're just so soft, and floppy, and long..."

House turned and locked the office door.

Wilson stared at him.

"What about the Harrison kid?"

"Screw the kid, Doogie Howser can cure the kid, she's cured everyone else this year, what's one more? You and me, we're going to fuck like rabbits."

And they did.

When she offers to take him to an AA meeting with her he stares at the ground and says he doesn't think he can do it, that he's not strong enough. She holds him tight and tells him he can and he is. Title: What Never Was
Words: 374
Rating : PG
Spoilers : Seventh season
Pairing : House/Cuddy, unrequited House/Wilson

Summary : House has to make a choice between Cuddy and Wilson, but will he regret his decision?

Written for  jezziejay  for the Easter Basket fiction exchange

"You don't have to leave."

Wilson pauses as he packs his office into cardboard boxes, again, for the third time since he's been at PPTH, but this is definitely the last time, he can't do this any more.

"You made your choice, House. I can't blame you. But I can't stay here, I need to move on. Your future is with Cuddy, and Rachel, not with me."

"You shouldn't have made me choose, you wanted me with Cuddy, you practically pushed me into her bed again."

"It's better for you, House. You need someone like Cuddy, someone who can stand up to you, who can help you. You and me, we're not good for each other - not in the long run. I thought I could stay here, could still be your friend, but I can't."

The last trinket is placed into the boxes and Wilson looks around the office, looking for things he might have forgotten. House is standing there, in front of the desk, bouncing his cane on the ground.

He doesn't want this to be like the last time he left so he goes to House, puts his arms around him and pulls him into an embrace. House is frozen in his arms, not responding. Wilson pulls away and kisses House's cheek gently.

"Take care of yourself, House, have a good life, be happy, you deserve that."

Wilson walks away, not daring to look back, not even when he hears House calling his name and telling him to stop. It's better this way.

****************************************************************************************

House lies in Cuddy's bed, waiting for her to return from seeing to Rachel. He loves her, he really does. He thinks he can be happy here, in her bed, in her home, with her child. He can see a future here.

But, as he makes love to her that night, it's not her soft body that he feels beneath him. It's not her lips that he kisses, it's not her cries that he hears. He'd never had this with Wilson but he can imagine what it would be like.

He can only imagine because now he'll never know.
