There's actually no Wilson at all in your filk, but unfortunately this is one more detail in which it is consistent with canon. I think this is by far and large the saddest thing I've read in a very long time. Because it's true.

I really like both the original song (which was new to me) and your version, especially how you kept close to the original in the rhymes and yet fit perfectly with the show. And yet, so sad. So very sad.

Despite the song I've decided to be optimistic about the 8th season, it can't be any worse than the 7th! Hopefully they are thinking of ways to dig themselves out of the giant hole they have created as we speak!
