For anyone interested, here is a link to some information about the way parole works in New Jersey Parole Process

The relevant part (bolding mine) However, the Board cannot revoke parole on the basis of new offenses which have not resulted in a disposition at the trial level except that upon application by the prosecuting authority, the Director of the Division of Parole or, in cases of juvenile parolees, the Juvenile Justice Commission, a Board panel may authorize the detention of the parolee and commence revocation proceedings when it is determined that the new charges are of a serious nature, and it appears that the parolee otherwise poses a danger to public safety.

So the way I read that they can't revoke House's parole without a trial for the new charge of 'felony vandalism' unless the deem him a danger to public safety (which they could argue but would be a real stretch I would think). If they did revoke his parole under that clause he would be entitled to a preliminary hearing within 14 days.

House needs to get himself a good lawyer.

(Yes, I am obsessed with this :)

You're awesome and I wish I could believe the writers were as reality obsessed as you are. Took me three attempts to parse felnoy. I need a coffee.

Felnoy? Can't see it :) I really should use LJ's spell checker but it red line squiggles all my interesting Australian spelling :)

That's mad! Then we can agree that the Americans are just off lol! I'm studying Irish and Scottish fic atm and, if I weren't Irish myself, some of the Scottish spelling would just throw you. Different from Brits again lol. Like 'nae,' 'cannae' and 'ken.'

So, we have an Italian correcting the spelling of an Australian in posts about an American television show.

Fandom is awesome.

Houseland is such an odd place. Sexual harassment, stealing experimental drugs, strangling people - are all ignored. But stop up a toilet and it's off to jail with you!

My grandmother was a toilet. Someone stopped her up, and she died. Turder in the first degree.

My brother was a toilet
His name was John
I liked to walk
But he liked to run

One day he wouldn't stop
It was near the end of summer
It was the last I ever heard from him ...

Because I called a plumber.
