Don't know how many people will know this song, but it's been stuck in my head for years. Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh (A Letter From Camp). It seemed sort of appropriate for Camp Sick!Wilson...

This is an entry to the Filk Song challenge

Hello Cuddy, hello Foreman,
Here I am, at Camp Sick!Wilson

House is here, he keeps complaining
He says where's the fun if it keeps raining!

We had a party, and did some magic
He used a saw, it was kind of tragic

I went hiking, without a hat on
In the forest, and I got shat on!

I hate to tell you, but I've got piles
and the water here has crocodiles!

House gave me, a bow and arrow
Then I got shot - in the marrow!

Now, I don't want, to give you worry
But the camp, ate all my curry
Now they say, they're gonna kill me
The cops came 'round now they want to bill me!

Call me home, oh Cuddy, Foreman
Call me home, I hate Sick!Wilson
Don't make me stay here, in the forest
On these beds, they're not the softest

Call me home, I'll do clinic
I'll take the kids, out on a picnic
Oh please, don't make me stay
I can't bear it, one more day!

Dearest Foreman, Dearest Cuddy
I want to come home with my best buddy
Let me come home if you love me
I'll even let the cancer patients hug me!

Wait a minute, it stopped raining
House is calling, we're going sailing
My clothes are soaked, can't get much wetter
Cuddy, Foreman, kindly disregard this letter!

I didn't know the song, although I recognized the tune (not from the original but from Fantasia, because in music I'm totally ignorant). So I laughed all through the youtube video you linked - it really seems a perfect choice for camp sick!wilson.

Your version is also great, with Foreman and Cuddy playing mother and father - and Wilson offering to do his clinic hours. It's good to be back to the Good Old Times or, better, to an AU future where House/Cuddy never happened, Cuddy married Lucas and pushed down her workload to sane levels by hiring Foreman as Vice Dean (which gave her time and energy to have another child).

If I can make any criticism, I had hoped that the reason Wilson decided to stay was a different kind of outdoor fun. Unless the wet clothes imply that he's going to take them off ;).

Thank you for a spot of happiness, and especially for the rain stopping, as it finally did here (summer in Germany has about the same weather as winter in NSW apparently).

I like how you've got a whole AU story behind the Cuddy, Foreman thing - and I think I like your AU :) Makes far more sense that Cuddy would mentor Foreman along rather than him suddenly being promoted over more experienced people.

Yes, that would havae been a good idea :)

and especially for the rain stopping

I wish someone would turn off the tap here...

Lol. This is awesome! I haven't heard the original song since I was a little kid. (My Dad used to play it for us.) Love the idea of Cuddy and Foreman taking on the mother and father roles, and Wilson being shot with a bow and arrow is a nice call back to "Out of the Chute."

I love the image of Wilson promising to do clinic and being excited to go sailing! Are the kids he's promising to take out on a picnic House's team?

Thanks! I've had this song stuck in my head on and off since I heard it when I was much, much younger :) Yes, i think the kids at the picnic will be House's team :) And there's another idea for a story....
