A random drabble sparked by a phrase in the header of You'll Better Think by [livejournal.com profile] damigella_314.

Wilson stalked away from House angrily. The sky darkened and he shivered in the sudden chill. He was about to turn back when the ground cracked open, leaving him teetering on the crumbling edge of land that dropped sharply away.

"Come away from there." House said coming up to him.

"What is it?".

"Its the Dark!House cliff. Everything bad in my life is down there."

Wilson could almost hear his partner's despair echoing up from below. He turned to House. "You never have to go down there again."

As they walked away, together, the ground closed up behind them.

I really like this. It's crack, and yet it says something about them. House has a dark!cliff, a place inside where everything bad is, both the bad he did and the bad others did to hin, all jumbled up in a mess of hurt and pain.
And Wilson can help him leave the bad stuff behind. The ground closing means the bad things are still there, but they can no longer hurt him. I only wish tptb hadn't needed giving Wilson an expiry date and House faking his own death to achieve this result: leaving Princeton's toxic memories and starting a relationship would have been enough.

Thanks (you make it sound all deep!), and thanks for the image of the dark!House cliff :)
